Hello…And Welcome to Heddspace!

As viewers of my regular swarmshangout blogspot at:
will already be aware, my decision to start up a new blogspot focussed almost exclusively on some of the valid discussion points principally turned up by reactions to the output from my Merlinhedd YouTube Channel, beginning this September, has been influenced in many ways by the Sun’s present transition through the Astrological Sign of Virgo.
As mentioned briefly in my regular blog, Carshalton on the Virgo Effigy of the Kingston Zodiac is the one time home of award winning British film director John Boorman, whose early nineteen seventies cult masterpiece ‘Zardoz’ was to inspire the use of the animated flying head logo with which my Merlinhedd digital production house has itself since become associated. As is also mentioned briefly, on my Merlinhedd Channel home page, my own peculiar film maker’s ambition is to direct and star in a latter day digital re-make of ‘Zardoz’ with myself in the title role…..
The only question that still remains to be asked though…is who gets to be slung out of the mouth of the flying head as it flys over the barren Apocalyptic landscape of the Outlands beyond the boundaries of the Vortex……
Self indulgent film buff fantasy aside though, amongst those who appear to have commented favourably on my own original screen writing output are the writer director of ‘Zardoz’ himself. Who, in spite of being a busy jet setting industry celeb was not too ungracious or self possessed to refer to the fascinating nature of my ideas and their peculiar psychogeographic resonance…..
Check out the mysterious psychogeography of London’s King’s Cross and Brixton’s Coldharbour Lane at this year’s Portobello Film Festival…Or catch the latest offering from Merlinhedd Films this Thursday evening at the Inn on the Green…..

About Rupert Ferguson

A lineal descendant of Captain Robert Ferguson (1719-1799) the older brother of the great Scottish Enlightenment Philosopher and historian Adam Ferguson (1723-1816); the friend of Hume, Gibbon and Adam Smith. Also related to the great feminist author and playwright Rachel Ferguson. Have written extensively on a vast range of subjects, been published in print as book author and in various journals and magazines into the bargain. Early work as an underground film maker on the early Goa Trance and radical anti-CJB political scene in the 1990s has since become more refined and ambitious and I have since been a regular contributor to such high profile events as the Portobello Film Festival Annual Film Maker's Convention.....
